Allyson “Ally” Meyers
Co-President

Allyson M. Meyers, has just completed one year of service as President with the LWV Broward County, and has committed to a second term, in the capacity of Co-President. She recently has accepted an Executive Vice President, Chief of Staff, Office of the Chairman position with Seals Media Company, following three decades in the broadcasting industry. Ally has a proven track record of driving transformative growth and enhancing brand recognition across various media platforms. Her extensive background has been instrumental in navigating the challenges of a rapidly evolving media landscape. Additionally, she served on several business-related non profit boards in an executive capacity to help raise awareness.


She has been a Broward County resident since 1998, and has commuted to work, out-of-state since 2007.


Ally holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications from the University at Buffalo, and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Business Administration. Outside of her professional endeavors, she enjoys traveling the world and spending quality time with her family.Allym62@gmail.com

Suzette Hyde

Suzette is an Attorney and a graduate of NYU School of Law. Her experience spans insurance defense, civil litigation, family law, and estate planning.

A Broward County resident since 2007, her focus has been on both law on civic engagement. She is the founder/owner of Hyde Law Office, served from the bench as a Traffic Hearing Officer and advocated for those in need as a Guardian Ad Litem, and as a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Suzette is the recent past chair of Young Adults Committee for the LWVBC and was a member of the 1st LWVBC Margaret McGrath Leadership class. (Term: 2025-2027)  sohyde@hotmail.com


Maria Paul, 
Vice-President



Maria Paul

Maria has been an educator for over 20 years.  Her love and devotion for knowledge and inspiring others led her to become an educator. She currently works as a Principal for Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Mrs. Paul has also held positions as an Assistant Principal, Reading Coach and an elementary school teacher.  Maria has a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Miami and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Florida International University. She has always been passionate about making her community a better place, by empowering it with the tools and information needed to make the next generation productive and self-sufficient individuals.  Maria, a resident of Sunrise, joined the Broward League in 2020 and has served as Vice-President for the last three years and chairs the League’s Speakers Bureau.  She was selected to participate in the inaugural Margaret McGrath League Leadership Program in 2024. Joan Sternberg,

Joan Sternberg

Joan is a retired English teacher who lived and worked in Miami and Fort Lauderdale, where she currently resides. Joan joined the Broward League in 2020 during the pandemic after attending some monthly Board meetings.  It was a great way to learn who all the Action Committee chairs were and how fiercely they advocated for their issues.  Joan believes it is an honor to be involved with this group of informed, engaged men and women who are committed to making a difference in our community.  She has served as Secretary of the Broward League for the past two years, and also currently serves as Co-Chair of the Health Care action committee. Gloria Reinhardt,
Treasurer




Gloria Reinhardt is a retired financial management professional and a longtime resident of Coral Springs, Florida. She has an accounting degree, an MBA and is a Certified Management Accountant. Gloria serves on the LWV Broward Board of Directors as Treasurer. She has been an active volunteer in Broward County since retirement. She focuses on education, advocacy and community issues. In addition to being a member of the League of Women Voters Broward County, she is an AARP volunteer leader focusing on Speakers Bureau presentations, Age Friendly Communities and advocacy.
