New committee: LGBTQIA+

A new action committee is forming at the Broward League dedicated to serving the LGBTQIA+ community, advocating and educating, to a variety of gender and sexual identities. Anthony Snyder and George Zuber will co-chair. 

Did you know that Broward has more same-sex couples or households than any other county in Florida?

LGBTQIA+ is an abbreviation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, and Asexual. The additional “+” stands for all of the other identities not encompassed in the short acronym. An umbrella term that is often used to refer to the community as a whole.
