Property Appraiser Marty Kiar will share information about tax-saving exemptions, deed fraud and property tax amendments.
Property Taxes in Broward County have emerged as one of the most significant and contentious legislative issue facing local officials and residents alike. As rates continue to rise and budget pressures increases taxpayers voiced their concerns about affordability, fairness, and the long-term economic impact on families and businesses.
About Marty: Marty Kiar currently serves as the Broward County Property Appraiser. As a lifelong resident of Broward, Marty went to school in Broward and attended Nova Southeastern Law School. Marty served in the Florida House of Representatives and on the Broward County Commission before being elected as Property Appraiser in 2016. Marty is married to his beautiful wife, Kelly. They have two daughters, Brianne and Cammie, as well as three cats – Rocky, Maggie and Toby.
